We had a to ta l o f 53 regis tered campers this year. All the s ta ff o f this years camp w ant to express sincere thank you to all the parents and guardians th a t brought your child to Camp. The children were tau ght so many cultural values, crafts, too k part in Sweat, and w ent on a Mountain hike to Harvey Lake lots o f swimming too. They had so much fun. They were taught a song for ending a rneaL Ana yayama Oh my big brothers chuuxapam be aware nawampta ichn tichamyau humble ourselves to this land- Ka mimish nushana as we prepare to go Ka mimish nushana as we prepare to go Tamanitiya tichamiyau to th a t fruitful land (heaven) In th e beginning afte r the firs t meal, there were only 3 or 4 people th a t knew this song and w ith this song being sung a fte r each meal, by the end o f Camp Naimuma ALL OF THE CHILDREN WERE SINGING THIS SONG WITHOUT HAV ING TO READ THE WORDS. Naimuma has been a wonderful success because of Carolyn Cruz of Health & Human Services and the contribution she offered through “Native Aspira tions” funds. From all the campers and Camp staff, thank you so much Carolyn.
