Spilygy Tymoo, Warm Springs, Oregon Page 11 June 26, 2013 THE CONFEDERATED TRIBES LANGUAGE LESSON------------------------------ “2013 Camp Naimuma” This years camp dates are: July 17 - 21, at Peters Pasture Ages 8 - 1 5 years is the required ages fo r this years campers. If you're interested in having yor child attend camp this year, please review these guidelines w ith your child. Registration Fee: Camper Checklist $25.00 per camper Label all yo u r campers item s however if your not able to pay the registration fee: A Scholarship workshop day for students will be held on July 10, 2013 from 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm in the first floor training room at the Education Building. Scholar ship requirements will be dis cussed then. Deadline fo r registraton is Friday-July 12, 2013 code o f conduct Dear Parents: The goal for each child attend ing Camp Naimuma is to have a positive experience in which the camper is safe, grows spiritually and socially learning the Warm Springs, Wasco and Paiute Culture. Occassionally, however, if behavior on the part of a camper may become so disrup tive as to require removal from Camp Naimuma because con flicts cannot be resolved. Therefore, the following guide lines are presented for children during their week in camp. Parents are asked to review these guidelines with their child/ children. Dear Campers: Good behavior is expected throughout camp. In signing that you have read the Camper Code of Conduct on the Regis tration Form you are agreeing to the following: 1) Use appropriate language 2) Respect the privacy and property of others. 3) Respect the property and camp area of peters pasture. 4) Wear appropriate clothes for activities as suggested by 5) Follow camp schedule (mealtimes, lights out, etc.) 6) Abide by the rules and regulations of the Camp Naimuma. Bedding Parents: Please send your camper with an Outdoor sleeping bag or bedroll with extra blankets and a pillow Sleeping bags designed for indoor use will not be warm enough at Peters Pasture Campers be prepared fo r 4 0 degree o r less a t night. Toiletries 1. Comb & Brush 2. 4 or 5 old bath towels and 1 wash cloth (swimming) 3. Toothbrush & toothpaste 4. Mosquito repellant-LOTS 5. Sun block lotion 6. Lip balm 7. Bath soap & shampoo 8. Lotion Clothing 1. Warm sleepwear(it is very cold when the sun goes down) 2. 1 pair OLD tennis shoes for swiming 3. 1 pair comortable tennis shoes. 4. 1 pair hiking boots 5. FIVE pair old socks 6. SIX to EIGHT underwear 7. 4 warm sweaters w /o r without hood 8. One warm coat 9. Raincoat 10. Swimsuit or cut-offs 11. Outdoor clothing for warm and cool weather DO NOT BRING EXPENSIVE OR NEW SHOES OR CLOTHING Oher items needed 1. Laundry bags (plastic bag) for wet & dirty camp stuff 2. Good flashlight & extra batteries 3. Canteen or water bottle MEDICATION If you are on medications, bring enough to last the entire time you will be at camp. All medications must 7) Campers are encouraged to be delivered to the medical participate in all activities to the person upon arrival at camp best of their ability. If you are allergic to Bee I agree to abide by all Camp Stings please inform the Naimuma’s code o f conduct and medical person as soon as I am-aware that I am expeted to you arrive. Also, we ask you cooperate and participate in bring your bee sting kit with camp activities. If I do not cooperate, or become a hinder- you, as we do not have tha t ance to the camp program, I in medical supplies.
