N oree Guerin and her shop, N oree’s Plume, re ceived a W ashanaksha Culture grant through the M u seum at W arm Springs. She used the grant for the fabric, and donated her time to the project. For the sewing she had help fro m 'th e C om m u n ity Health Education Team, and other volunteers and family m em bers o f the youth dancers.- G e ra ld in e Jim and M ona Jim provided the instruction for the sewing. Friday, April 5 The food handler class has been rescheduled to April 5 at 2 in the Atrium of the Warm Springs Health and Wellness Center. The Jefferson County Li brary Film Center will be show ing Academy Award Winning Films th is m onth. This evening will feature ARGO, rated R - at 7:30. Films are free and refreshments are available. The Film Center is in the Rodriguez Annex next to the Library in Madras. The Madras High School FFAAlumni Donkey Basket ball Game will be held on Fri day April 5 at 7 p.m. at the High School. All families are invited to this fundraiser event! Saturday, April 6 This is the Earth 2-o w a ter delivery day for Simnasho and S choolie residents. Please set empty bottles out side. Sunday, April 7 The Warm Springs Com munity Food Bank is open to day from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Warm Springs Presbyterian Church. For in formation contact Pastor Rick at 541-553-1237. Response needed for outdoor market survey The Warm Springs com munity will have an outdoor market,on Fridays starting in late May or in June, and last ing until around September. The Warm Springs Com munity Action" Team is cur rently conducting a survey to fulfill an aspect ,of the grant th at has made possible the outdoor farmers market. The survey is being con ducted this month, injuly and in September. T h e team re ceiv ed a g ra n t fro m th e USDA to assist with the out door market for this year and in 2014- O ther groups on the reservation are contributing to the project. Sunday, April 14 The Museum at Warm Springs will host the Veritas Concert Choir at 2:30 p.m. The Choir is from Newberg and has won the OSAA state choir competition two years in a row. Everyone is invited to come enjoy the songs, the concert is free.
