Wishing you all a safe and peaceful holiday. Rick Molitor Sttperintendent Safety for JCSD Students and Staff In the wake of this month’s tragedy in Newtown, CT, our JCSD team has been reviewing our own safety plans and procedures. Each building has an Emergency Response Plan in place. Our classrooms and work areas are also equipped with instructions for emergencies. Our teachers, staff and administrators have been working to strengthen these plans where needed to make sure our schools are as safe as possible. In any emergency, our first priority is to secure the safety of students and staff. We are also talking more about how we can support families and each other during difficult times. We encourage everyone to visit www.cmionline.org, an online crisis management resource for current information and resources to guide us as we work through this tragedy. We have also been communicating with families through our voice text system as well. If you have a student(s) in the school district and have not been receiving phone/text messages, please contact your child’s school to make sure they have your current contact information. For additional information and resources, you are welcome to contact your child’s school directly or the JCSD District Offices at (541) 475-6192.
