Hood ski bowl sta ff had a dedication 7 blessing ceremony of this building several o f the Mt. Hood Ski Bowl Staff were present, the day started with a Grand Entry and posting of the flags with a Flag Song several Veterans took part, WaShat prayer song and ■ blessing prayer by Elders , Wilfred & Geri Jim. As well some o f the Warm Springs s ta ff in attendance shared a little o f the history o f Mt. Hood and the Tribes. Ski Bowl S taff and Culture & Heritage S taff kept in con tact throughout the year planning this big event to bring our commu nities together. Beginning on Wednesday, September 26 th to Satur day September 29 th there is a horse trail ride from the Reservation Line to Mt. AUTNI ICHISHKIIN SAPSIKWAT STUDENTS OF OUR DEPARTMENT, by now, we have been in session fo r a couple days, we have a to ta l of 15 students ages 3 & .4 years old th a t have been enr rolled to attend our “ Sa cred Language School” Our departm ent s ta ff want to thank all you parents and grand parents for enrolling your child to attend our class and begin the im portant process of learning the ichishkiin Language o f the Tribes. Our langauge teachers have been geting the classrPoms ready fo r the past few weeks. Our departm ent director, Val has been working very hard, and has received a g ra n t fro m th e P otlatch Fund to help w ith our Young Language Learners. There is a lot th a t our teachers are going to be teaching your child. You will be amazed a t what these precious youngsters can learn. As the months go by, we will post up dates to the community on our young language learners. 2012 Camp Naimuma has come and gone and what we brought back from Camp was a bit more than we w ent there with. In the basement o f the Culture & Heritage Depart ment, we have quite a collection of items some o f you campers le ft a t Camp. If you know you fo rg o t something at Camp, come by and look through and retrieve w hat belongs to you.
