Scott is a guard on the Aggies women’s basketball team. N ew Mexico State opens its season on Nov. 2 with an exhibition against Fort Lewis. The game is at home in Las Cruces. Their first regular sea son game is on Nov. 12 against Loyola Mary- mount, also at home. The team will be in the Northwest region in Feb ruary 2013 when they play Idaho and then Seattle. Jones was narrowly de feated in a three-round bout. “She put on a good show,” said Warm Springs boxing coach A ustin Smith. Jones commented, “I fought hard but I could have done better. The tourney is Thursday- Saturday, Nov 22—24. The planning meetings are underway. As the committee plans the event, one consid eration is always on the table, and we would like to offer th a t opp o rtu n ity to any bowler family that might be interested. It is difficult for us to lose family and friends, yet it is often a satisfying feeling as we h onor their m em ory through memorials, including dedications to something that was significant in their life, in this case, bowling. Format is a four-person scramble followed by dinner, silent auction, raffle and prizes. Cost is $50 per player (red level) includes green fees, cart, gift bag and dinner. The team cost at red level is $200 (retail value is $320). White level for a team is $250, including the above plus head-to-toe raffle tick ets, hats and gift bags (retail $400). Middle, MHS sports physicals at IHS School sports physicals will be done at the Warm Springs H ealth and Wellness Center on Tues day, Sept. 11 starting at 3 p.m. T he physicals are done on a first come, first serve basis. Middle and High school athletes who are Indian Health Service eligible can participate. There is a form that needs'to be completed and parents must accompany their student to the physi cal. Pendleton Round-Up, Pageant begin this Saturday The Pendleton Round-Up and Happy Canyon Indian Pageant are popular events with many tribal members. Many people from Warm Springs stay for a few days at Round-Up, camping or stay ing in a teepee or hotel.
