T he Huckleberry Harvest will provide an evening o f fun, food, auctions and art. T he evening begins w ith a reception, hors d’oeuvres and silent auction. Tribal mem ber demonstrations will be: Terry Courtney Jr., dem onstrating and talking about fishing, dipnets and Celilo ■Fails. A gourm et dinner will be gin at 6:30 p.m., with the high light o f the evening being the oral auction. A lot o f fun and fierce bidding is sure to take place. A special'pledge request will be made by the museum curator and exhibits coordi nator Natalie Moody, who will make a request for pledges for maintenance work, new carpeting, repairs and new display units in the Changing Exhibits Gallery. This was due in large part, early in the week, to the abun dant dry lightning, said Will iam W ilson, F ire M anage m ent logistics manager. O n Monday morning, af ter the overnight lightning storm, a fire detection flight was scheduled over the res ervation. C am p crew s w ere in formed to remain on the alert for dispatch. T he red flag warning “will continue into Wednesday evening,” Wilson said earlier this week. Fire M anagem ent teams were fully mobilized and pa trolling the back roads.
