Page 8 Spilyay Tymoo, Warm Springs, Oregon May 16, 2012 Honor Seniors Day 2012 A bout 700 guests attended the 2012 Honor Seniors Day o f the Confeder ated Tribes o f Springs. “We had many first-time guests, and many veterans,” said Wilson Wewa, o f the tribal Senior Citizens Program. “We had several speakers during the dinner, ” he said, “and they were . ecstatic about the turnout, the organisation, and how friendly our tribes are. ” Thank you to the many volunteers, said Wewa. There were more people who volunteered this yea r than last year, he added. ‘That helped the day go by smoothly,” he said. A-long with the tribes, there were many Warm Springs and Madras businesses that contributed to Honor Seniors Day. Thank you, Wewa said, to the Madras' High School ROTC program and Spanish Dancers. The guests also appreciated the flute players from the MHS Culture o f Warm Springs class. And it was nice to have the TLarly Childhood education Powwow again this L.', iW*1- 4 J ft' j
