The Healthy Foods Program Co ordinator will increase food security on the Warm Springs Indian Reservation and in the surrounding community by establishing a com m unity garden and food education program. The program will allow low-income individuals access to healthy foods, and will also incorporate nutrition and cooking education. The position is a year-long com m itm ent from August 2012-August 2013. Major Responsibilities/Activities: The Healthy Foods Pro gram Coordinator will be re sponsible for: 1. Establish ing and maintaining an active community garden program. 2. Creating a system to man- age all community garden related data. 3. Recruiting volunteers for the Healthy Foods program. 4.
