Healthy Foods Program C oordinator
Warm Springs Community
Action Team (WSCAT), is cur­
rently
recru iting
an
AmeriCorpsVISTA member to
act as the Healthy Foods Pro-
gram Coordinator. The
Healthy Foods Program Co­
ordinator will increase food
security on the Warm Springs
Indian Reservation and in the
surrounding community by
establishing a com m unity
garden and food education
program. The program will
allow low-income individuals
access to healthy foods, and
will also incorporate nutrition
and cooking education.
The position is a year-long
com m itm ent from August
2012-August 2013. Major
Responsibilities/Activities:
The Healthy Foods Pro­
gram Coordinator will be re­
sponsible for: 1. Establish­
ing and maintaining an active
community garden program.
2. Creating a system to man-
age all community garden
related data. 3. Recruiting
volunteers for the Healthy
Foods program. 4. Develop­
ing marketing materials to
expand com m unity knowl­
edge of WSCAT.
