This will involve compiling data, creating spreadsheets to track energy usage, and working with business and governmental managers and other service providers such as local utility companies, including W asco E lectric and the O regon E nergy Trust. The Intern will sub mit proposals for energy ef ficiency incentives to local utilities and will be involved in developing grant propos als. The intern will attend online and other trainings to learn about the energy effi ciency field and network with resource providers. The in tern will work with the Green Team to develop Energy Ef ficiency Strategic Plan that w ill provide guidance for work projects to be com pleted over the next several years, as well as a plan to ensure the operational self- s u ffic ie n c y o f a W arm Springs Energy Efficiency program. The Intern may assist with related projects such as acquiring, develop ing and disseminating en ergy efficiency education and marketing materials in the community. Field Work: Intern will work with lighting, weather- ization, HVAC and other technicians to learn about energy efficiency audits, meter output readings that measure the amount of en ergy usage and gain a ba sic understanding of insula tion, lighting and other types of energy efficiency installa tions to be used. Limited Duration: This is a one-year limited dura tion, grant funded position and does not currently have health, retirement or vaca tion benefits.
