Spilyay Tymoo, Warm Springs, Oregon April 23, 2 0 0 9 Page 3 Annual horse clinic returns T he annual horse vacteination clinic in Warm Springs will be from 10 a.m. till 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28 at the Warm Springs rodeo grounds. The clinic is presented by the Warm Springs OSU Extension office. A USDA aphis veterinarian will be present at the clinic. Vaccinations available: Four-way (eastern and west ern encephalomyelitis, influenza, and tetanus), $10. West Nile: $15. Liquid worm er: $5. Coggins testing: $10. For first tim e horse (never been vaccinated), the suggestion is two doses, 3 to 6 weeks apart. For horses th at have been previously vaccinated, the sug gestions is one dose annually. Head Start taking applications Head Start is now taking ap plications for the H ead Start 2009-2010 school year. H ead Start is offering a pre-school experience to 3- and 4-year-olds. Head Start provides children with activities to grow mentally, socially, emotionally and physi cally, as well as giving them kin dergarten readiness. Give your child the gift to learn, give your child a Head Start. Be prepared to present the Dave McMechan/Spilyay Children’s Protective Services hosted Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention activities in April. One of the activities was the walk from Early Childhood Education and the administration building to the community center. At the community center, the walk participants released hundreds of balloons.
