Some people would call Utili ties, some would say you call the Credit Department, which is an enterprise; and others, well... they might call on an outside ap praiser. Then there are those entities connected to an insurance claim who would most likely send their own appraiser. There is one person here on the reservation that we know of who does appraisals. He charges about $200 to do them. This individual is the same person Credit uses. I am told that if you were to call for an outside appraiser, they might charge around $500, and you must also let them know that the appraisal should be done for the building or home and any improvements only. The exception of course are those private land owners. Work orders So, what’s the deal with never hearing back on what happened to my work order? Has this be come the norm? Is this accept able? It is not. This has been a com m on theme that I have heard over the past several months. As such, we have begun ad dressing some of our own in ternal operations and yes, prob lems, as they apply to commu nications. More Letters to the Editor D ear Dad Today we sorrowfully laid you in your final resting place by grandma, your sister, your sons and of course, Myrtle. We already miss you and feel the empty place in our hearts, but we know that you are not suf fering in your body anymore and have stepped into the Lord’s rest and glory. Some things didn’t go as you wanted, the caregiver, her son and daugh ter took over everything and made all your arrangements as they saw fit. But the nice thing was that your friends from the Satus Shaker C hurch and Canadien church were a real blessing, we could see that they really loved and cared for you, as well as the many people that came. Another thing you would not have approved of dad, is the caregiver, her son and daughter have kept the family pictures and grandma Deha’s keepsakes and. I don’t expect to see those things again, but we will always have the memories o f our relatives in those pic tures, after all, we grew up with them at the LeClaire Ranch. Oh, and your friend from the Satus Church shook hands with your grandson Alan, told him he was the young version of you and told him to just put on a Navy uniform and he would be you all over again. So dad, we will carry on the family name and remember you as you w ere, kind hearted and we know that you loved us as we loved you. We are comforted knowing that you are at peace and at rest. I also would like to say that I will do my best to change my life because jail is not fun. I apologize to officers H. and S. for calling them ugly names. Sorry officers. I am sorry I broke tribal law on June 21 by driving while un der the influence of alcohol and carrying a concealed weapon without a permit and in a re stricted area. I apologize to my manager and my coworkers. This will not happen again and I am truly sorry. Raymond Meengs. I am sorry I broke tribal law on August 14 by my actions of having marijuana in my posses sion and being caught with it on Sunnyside and U pper Creek Drive and getting arrested. I apologize to the Warm Springs Police Department. I also want to say that I am sorry to my girl friend; I was stopped in her car and it w o n ’t happen again. Aaron Eaglespeaker. I am sorry I broke tribal law on June 23 by a domestic dis pute that threatened the health, safety and welfare of others. I apologize to G.R., L.A.R. Ill, A.J., W.N., the patrol officers and the Warm Springs commu nity who were directly impacted by my actions. I will make ev ery effort to follow our laws in the future. Lyle A. Rhoan. I am sorry I broke tribal law on August 17 by breaking the law o f assault and battery on a person that I love. I will make sure that I do not commit this offense again. I apologize to A. Sampson who was directly im pacted by my actions. I also want to say that I am sorry for the offense that I committed, and I will make every effort to follow our laws in the future. Roderick Wesley. I am sorry I broke Tribal law on August 19 by driving under the influence of intoxicants and recklessly endangering others. It will not happen again. I am truly sorry for my actions. I apologize to my people of Warm Springs. I also want to say that I am seek ing help for my actions. Ulysses Jefferson. I am sorry I broke tribal law on July 4 by forcefully ejecting E.W andA.T. out o f my vehicle. There was a domestic dispute in my car and I was charged with assault. I apologize to A.T. for the physical and mental an guish she had to endure. I also want to say that I am sorry to the officer for having to come way out o f his way in protect ing the community. Clarence Jefferson. I am sorry I broke tribal law on July 13 by being under the age of 21 and under the influ ence of an intoxicating bever age. I apologize to D., S., M. and friend who were directly im pacted by my actions. I also want to say that I’m sorry to have my name publicly known by the things I’ve done. Lindsey Mor ris Yallup. I am sorry I broke tribal law on June 13 by driving while in toxicated. I ’d like to apologize to the Warm Springs commu nity for my DUII. I could have hurt someone or myself. I feel bad about the situation, that I must change my ways to lead a cleaner and healthier life. I apologize to the community of Warm Springs. I am doing bet ter now with a positive start to change my ways o f life. Roberta Williams. I am sorry I broke Tribal law on August 25 by being highly intoxicated on or near 4446 Upper Dry Creek. I was charged with disorderly conduct arid I plead guilty on August 27 and now I’m in the tribal jail. I apolo gize to the Warm Springs com munity. I also want to say that I’m currently serving some jail time for my actions, and I will make every effort to follow our laws in the future. Lawrence G. Keds Johnny Smith. I am sorry I broke tribal law on 9-14-08 by committing of fense 307.020 (liquor violation) in our tribal community. I apolo gize for my inconsiderate actions and can only move forward and do better for my family and community. Aldo Garcia. I am sorry in September the tribal (N D D H D ).
