Horse regalia class at museum Candidate visits in Bend T he M useum at Warm Springs and the Oregon Arts Commission are co-sponsoring a horse regalia class. Part one of the class will be “Making the Martingale piece of horse rega- Ea.” Instructors will be Chris Scott and Sandra Scott-McGill. The classes will be from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thurs- Several tribal leaders, in cluding Tribal Council Chair man Ron Suppah and Coun cilwoman and vice-Chair Aurolyn Stwyer, individually endorsed Sen. Barack Obama for the Democratic nomina tion for President. Recently, Sen- Obama was in Oregon campaigning prior to the state’s Primary elec tion, which the Senator was expected to win by a large margin (this paper went to press before the polls closed on Tuesday, May 20). Team releases timber sale assessment The Resource Management Interdisciplinary Team has re leased a draft project assessment covering the Old Mill 2009/ Camp Trail Tim ber Sale for public review. The document was prepared by the Project Interdisciplinary Team to provide options for timber harvest in Mill Creek watershed. Three alternatives were for mulated and numerous logging methods were considered for this project, taking into account present resource conditions, for- est health and public input. The Old Mill 2009/Camp Trail Tim ber Sale is expected to yield ap proximately 24 million board feet of timber. The document is divided into sections explaining the purpose and need for action, resource- based indicators used to help the technical staff analyze and miti gate environmental impacts, and details of the three alternatives. There are maps showing the; harvest blocks, quick reference tables to compare the alterna tives, a list of measures needed Kids Camp 2008 at Canyon Ranch Camp is set for mid June. The Canyon Ranch Camp is a privately owned Christian camp available to all kids ages 8-13. The camp dates are as fol- lows: Gitls camp A: June 16-18. Girls camp B: June 18-21.
