S p in o , “ N e n o c k e n , ” Lowell Emery Spino, In dian name N enocken, en tered into eternal rest early Monday morning, February 11, 2008. Many o f his family and . friends knew him by his nick nam e “ F u zz” or “Judge Lowell.” He was a true war rior who succumbed to can cer and he will be missed. He was o f Yakama and Umatilla descent. He was born November 22, 1959 at the Spino family hom e in A dam s, O regon. H is ed ucation began at Adams grade school, then jun ior high at John Murray and Helen McCune, he also, at ten d ed P en d le to n H igh . School. Among his many hobbies and interests he loved watch ing and participating in rodeo, baseball, golf, horseshoes, 3D sh o o t, bow hunting, beadwork, featherwork, gill and dip net fishing on the Co lumbia River at traditional Native sites, wildhorse racer, men’s pool league, and break ing and training horses for 1959—2008 family and friends. He was a highly skilled and avid hunter and fisherman who provided meat and salmon for his family, tribal elders and for ceremonials when he was, called upon. In his youth and teenage years, he was a champion fancy dancer, traveling the Pow Wow trail in the Pacific Northwest. He loved spending time with family and friends. He was a proud and devoted father to his son Stanley. Over the years, he worked at CTUIR in several differ ent departments: landscape and maintenance crew, tribal fisheries, firefighter, Smith’s Cannery, and the Alaska Pipe line. He is survived by long tim e com panion M elinda Alexander and son Stanley,' m o th e r Lillian Spino o f Pendleton; brothers Lester Spino or P en d leto n , Law rence Spino of Pendleton, and Leslie Spino o f W arm Springs; sisters, Laura Spino K ordatzky, Leona F. Spino, Lenora Spino all o f Pendleton, Luella Spino Azule of Salem, and Louise Spino Paxton o f Gastonia, North Carolina, and numer ous aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father Lewis P. Spino, grandparents G eorge and Maude Spino, and Jim and Marv Shock. side is Bobbi Jo Berry of Warm 2008. Angelo joins four sisters, Springs.
