C reato r said, “N o, it is n o t for m e to take away, b u t for you to give it up.” I asked the creator to make a handicapped child whole. Cre ator said “N o, his spirit is whole, his body is only temporary.” I asked the C reator to grant m e patience. Creator said, “N o, patience is a by-product o f tribu latio n s, it is n ’t g ran ted , it is earned.” I asked the C reator to give m e happiness. C reato r said, “N o, suffering draws you apart ‘from worldly cares and brings -you closer to me.” I asked the C reator to make •my spirit grow. C reator said, “N o, you m ust grow o n your ow n, b u t I will prune you to make you m ore fruitful.” I asked the C reator for all things that I m ight enjoy life. :Creator said, “N o, I will give you life so th at you may enjoy all things.” £ I asked the Creator to help m e love others as m uch as he doves me. C reator said, “Ahh, finally! You are getting the idea.” I found this in a paper from a rez in M ontana. Touch my heart so I w anted to share it. We k now it took a lo t o f w ork and energy for you to organize the event in such a sh o rt time. Your efforts to bring som ething good and positive to the comm unity are truly appreciated. It was good to see many comm unity m em bers an d yo u th electrified by Jacoby’s presence. T h e o p p o rtu n ity to h av e som eone o f such stature p ar ticipate in a personalized com m unity gathering is very rare. We would also like to extend our appreciation to the Ellsbury fam ily for agreeing to partake in the event after a long day. The event was m ore than a celebration; it was a venue for youth to see th a t th ro u g h ed ucation, h ard work, and determination, every one has the potential and capa bility within themselves to reach their ultim ate goal or “dream.” As a rising star, Jacoby has a p o sitiv e in flu e n c e o n m any youth around the world. .The celebration was exciting and sur real at th e sam e tim e. O nce located in rural towns and on the West Coast, m eth has erupted across the United States and is now devastating count less families, children and neigh b o r h o o d s . H ere a r e s o m e Facts you should know about meth: What is it? M etham phetam ine is a pow erfully addictive stim ulant that has a high potential for abuse and dramatically affects the cen tra l n e rv o u s system . I t is a unique drug because it is easy to obtain and relatively cheap to buy. This is all made possibly by th e fact th a t m eth can be m a n u f a c tu r e d lite ra lly in a p e rso n ’s backyard fro m rela tively inex p en siv e, o v er-th e- c o u n te r in g re d ie n ts su ch as P seu d o ep h ed rin e, a com m on cold medicine, as well as paint thinner; cat litter and lighter fuel. What does it look like? Meth is a white, odorless, bit ter-tasting powder that easily dis solves in alcohol or water and can be smoked, injected or snorted. Where is it made? Two-thirds o f our country’s m eth supply is produced in su per labs in Mexico and South ern California run by organized crime and street gangs. T he re maining third is made in the U.S. in m akeshift m eth labs found in being there.
