Shaiandra Saunders- Kalama had a special idea for her old stuffed animals—she donated them to Victims of Crime Services. The 11-year-old felt that it was time to pass her stuffed animals on, as she is about to turn 12 and transition into life as a young adult. Since she didn’t want to throw them away, Saunders-Kalama thought to donate them instead. Several of the stuffed ani mals have already been given out, according to VOCS Direc tor Mark Matthews. “I wanted the other children to be happy the way I have been,” Saunders-Kalama said. Saunders-Kalama is the cousin of Ina Wainanwit, an employee of VOCS. Victims of Crime Services accepts donations of volunteer time, food, clothing and stuffed animals for victims of crimes or other people in need. To donate, or for more in formation, call VOCS at 553- 2293. — Professionally washed and dried using top quality machines and soap products. ** ...... f is a a 0 7 s ïïa o a / p l Take the hassle out of wash day - ask about our same day Flu ff ’n Fold Service.
