I was stopped on E ast Tenino Road and charged with NDDH. I got 60 days for my action. I am sorry to Warm Springs and W arm Sp rin gs peo p le. To the people of the Confeder ated Tribes of Warm Springs: This letter is in regards to my unlawful actions on the day of May 7 .1 real ize I did do wrong my driving a vehicle under the influence o f al cohol. I would like the Warm Springs Tribal Court to know I was in relapse and I had six months sobriety on my own, and by accom plishing this sobriety I went back to our Was hat way of life. In my six months of sobriety I have es tablished my own place to call my home and been able to keep up on my light bill and telephone bill, and have had food on my table. I have earned the trust of the elders of the Agency Longhouse to become a head cook— to be called on to cook for our funerals and memo rials. I am very appreciative of such trust from my elders and being able to go and gather our ceremonial foods, to be blessed to go along with our elders to carry on the way of Washat life. Again I apologize for my unlawful actions. I’m ask ing to have consideration of me for I am not able to pay a fine. I’m willing to do community service. I’m asking the Tribal Court to have mercy upon me on my sentencing and to take into consideration that I am doing the best I can for my self to keep sober.
