There rodeo series will con tinue on June 18, July 15, and August 19. There are cash and other prizes given at each rodeo. A participant must enter all four rodeos to win the series buckle. Events are: barrels (12-15 year olds, and 11 years and un der), street riding (12-15 years), dummy roping (6 years and un der and 8 years and under), wild colt race (at least one girl on a team, 15 years and under; limit o f eight teams), stick horse race Group rides in the parade in California. Those who attended from the local area are Johnny Smith, Jasper Smith, Paleena Spino, Trevor Suppah, Cecil Yahtin, Hiram Yaw, Sallie Polk Adams, Sadie Johnson, Je ffe ry Purdy, H arrison Buller, Larry Snellings, Luis Sosa, Chris Buller and Meg Buller. The local riders were part o f a parade had over 750 horses, with about 40,000 (6 years and under and 8 years and under), calf riding (11 years and under; limit o f 25 riders), stick horse relay (12-14 years, and 11 years and under). Entry fees are $15 per per son for each o f the following: barrels, steer riding, wild colt race, and calf riding. Five dollar entries for dummy roping, and the stick horse race. Stick horse relay fee is $20 per team (co-ed teams, two boys and two girls). Admission fee for spectators is $2, kids 6 and under free. The Warm Springs-Madras group was awarded two-second place awards this year. One was for the Native Rider category, and the second for youth equestrian. The competition is open to all tribes. Athletes must be at least one- quarter Native American to compete. O pening cerem onies will be in Flagstaff, Ariz., at the Sinagua High School on July 20 . The Tenth Annual Tygh Ridge All Indian Rodeo is Saturday and Sunday, May 13-14, starting at 1 p.m. daily. Admission is $6, kids under 6 are free. The rodeo grounds are located 21 miles south o f The Dalles, about eight miles north o f the old Tygh Talley Rqdeo Grounds on Highway 97. Jackpot each day with $100 or more added each day per event.
