Madras boys win close game against LaSalle In a Tri-Valley league game the Madras White Buffalo boys basketball team topped the vis iting Falcons of La Salle by the score 63-61 in a close, well played game. The game was a good excit ing game, as the lead changed heads several time in the first half. The two teams were quite evenly matched height-wise, and both teams showed a lot of spark and hustle. Quickness was the key factor as the guards cut and dashed around on the floor. At the half La Salle led by the score of 34-26, and looked like they might have the game sewed up. In the third quarter the Buffaloes put together a good run to take the lead, and never trailed the rest of the game. They held a ten point lead at the end of three quarters, with the Buffaloes 52, the Fal cons 42. In the final period La Salle started to pop in three pointers to close the gap, and in the final minute they missed a couple of three-point attempts. The Buffs held on to come out with the win. Scoring for Ma dras: Dominique Easterling topped all scorers with 23 joints before fouling out in the final period.
