Spilyqy Tymoo, Wrm Howlack Johnny Squally Kalama Johnny Squally Kalama, 32 years old died May 25, due to complications from a bullet wound. Mr. Kalama was born November 8, 1969 to parents George "Porky" Kalama and Bertha Medicine Bull-Kaline (Alaina Bearcomesout) at Tacoma, Washington. He was an enrolled member of the Nisqually Indian tribe and a member of the Cheyenne Kit Fox Society of Lame Deer, Montana. He had lived in sev eral places in his young years, Warm Springs, Oregon, Nisqually, Washington and Lame Deer, Montana. He went to school in Yelm, Washington and graduated from High School at Hardin, Montana. The Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs acquired Pine Creek Ranch in 1999, and added the Wagner Ranch to the prop erty in 2001. The Bonneviile Power Administration (BPA) funded each acquisition, as part of BPA's wildlife and fisheries mitigation programs. The Tribes will manage Pine Creek Ranch in perpe tuity for wildlife' and fish'nabitat. Joshua LaRose Medina Joshua LaRose Medina, age 18 months died on May 29, 2002 at Salem, OR. He was born on November 21, 2001 to Phoebe LaRose Median. At the . time of death he was residing at Salem, OR with mother and aunt but considered Warm Springs his permanent home. ' Survivors include mother, Phoebe, grandparents Kim and Bob Medina, brother Fran cisco Medina, aunts Terri Medina and Janie Medina, uncles Robert (Marcie) and Thomas Medina, great-grandmother Billie Jo Bagley and several relatives of Warm Springs, Oregon. Burial was at the Dry Creek Cemetery on Friday, May 31, 2002. aks.: 3 : '"fftii It - Ronald Holliquilla Jr Ronald "Ronnie" "Shiax'in" Holliquilla, Jr., age 36 years died May 31, 2002 at West Hills in Warm Springs, OR. Ronnie was born to parents, Gladys and Ronnie Holliquilla, Sr. in The Dalles, OR on August 23, 1964. Mr. Holliquilla was an en rolled member of the Confed erated Tribes of Warm Springs. He resided in Warm Springs all his life. Ronnie went to school at Warm Springs Elementary and Madras. He enjoyed fish ing and hunting, playing bas ketball and games, and espe cially liked helping his family in whatever he could. He was a laborer and fisherman, a member of the Shaker faith and the Longhouse. Edith and Roland Kalama, Sr. raised him since he was an infant. Proceeding in death are his parents Gladys and Ron Holliquilla, Sr., other dad Roland Kalama, Sr., sister Rose Kalama, aunts Becky and Debbie Quinn, grandparents Sims Holliquilla, Susie Haney and Mack Albert. Museum acquisitions The mission of The Museum at Warm Springs is to pre serve, advance and share the knowledge of the cultural, traditional and artistic heritage of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs. The Museum at Warm Springs will accept objects for consideration as acquisitions for The Museum's collections. Children's items, toys, games along with tools and other objects that show now people lived are also of interest. The deadline to sub mit objects for consider ation is Tuesday, June 18, 2002, at 5 p.m. Due to the length of the accessions process, objects will not be ac cepted after the deadline. Please limit one item per person. The Museum's Board of Directors make the final deci sion on acquisitions. Objects will not be accepted during the weekend. A completed object history form is required when sub mitting any object. Objects without this form will not be accepted. Forms are available and can be picked up at The Mu seum.
