The museum planting, which was held on May 3, 1995 at 10:30 am, is a visible small forest to represent the thousands of trees planted. The pair had not returned to the Klamath Reservation from Warm Springs as anticipated. On Friday, May 26, 1995 a ve hicle was located upside down in the Warm Springs River on Highway. 8 near mile post 6.5 on the Warm Springs Reservation. An investiga tion was conducted and it is believed that the car drove off of the highway into the Warm Springs River. There was no evidence found to indicate that any foul play occurred, but there was evidence of alcohol found in the vehicle. An Autopsy was conducted on both James W. Watah and Wayne J. Nino on Saturday, May 27, 1995 by Karen Gunson. Stated cause of death was "affixation by drowning." She was born March 14, 1986 in Madras, Oregon to Leo and Victoria (Martinez) Hellon. She was an enrolled member of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs. She had been a resident of the Providence Child Care Center since she was 18 months old. She was active in Brownies and earned four medals for her accomplishments. In 1993 she was Rose Princess for the Providence Child Care Center. She loved music and was the poster child for the Portland Trail Blazers Basketball Team. Survivors include her parents; Leo and Vickie Hellon of Warm Springs; her brothers Michael Fox Hellon, Lewis F. Hellon, Lee W. Hellon, and Charly Hellon all of Warm Springs, her sister Tony J. Hellon of Ponca City, Oklahoma, and half-sisters Laura Johnson and Debra Still of Warm Springs. She is also survived by her grandmothers Etta Johnson of Warm Springs, Louise Toulee of Yakama and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Richard Hellon. A dressing ceremony was held Sunday, June 11, 1995 at 3:00 p.m. at the Bel-Air Colonial Funeral Home in Madras, Oregon. Funeral services were Monday, June 12, 1995 at 10:00 a.m. at the Warm Springs Presbyterian Church. Reverend Rick Ribeiro officiated. Burial followed at the Agency Cemetery in Warm Springs.
