PAGE 4 August 19, 1994 Warm Springs, Oregon SpilyayTymoo Editorial E Coosh EEWA: The way it is Letters to the Editor Sasquatch, docs he or doesn't he exist?Ifhcdocsshouldhc be hunted, disturbed and tormented the way people do when ever there is a ru mor that he has been sighted or there are evidence that he was there. Because wheneverthcre are reports of his presenst it attracts all sorts of weirdocs and such trying to hunt him down. So far there hasn't been a turly confirmed sighting of Big Foot, but there are all sorts of rumors of him being in certain areas. Foot prints have been castcd in various parts of trtecountry.butnoonc really knows how the tracks were made. Even here in Warm Springs foot prints have been seen and castcd by the investigators and there are photos here at SpilyayTymoo of the foot prints. If he docs exist a creature approximately 8 to 10 feet in height, weighing about 800 pounds must very elusive to keep out of sight, although there have been all sorts of stories where people heve seen the Creature yet there have been no photos of "Big Fool" In my mind I kind of believe there might be a creature out there some where, but I've yet to see the real evidence and thats "Big Foot," himselfThere are groups who have been on the hunt for Big Foot foryears and have traveled from place to place where signs of Big Foot have been reported. There have been documentary's and film of Big Foot but the film was so blurry that it was hard to see just what he looked like. The film was takenofhim inNorthemCahfomia where itshowshim walking away from the camera to where some folks say that was just a hoax. There are stories where people have come face to face with the monster. I should say Creature, but fail to give complete discription of him. From the discription of Sasquatch, of size and weight and stuff, he must be very tactful to keep out of sight from everyone all these years. It also appears that he tries to mind his own business and has not bothered anyone that I've heard about so far. So should the public hunt hem down if he does exist, or just leave him alone? He hasn't done any harm to anyone except scare the dickens out of people through stories. We should just leave him alone and when the time comes he will emerge. Nigh! ! , : . What were you doing twenty five years ago? Well some people were at the Famous "Woodstock'Rock Concert inNew York State, where people gathered by the thousands to hear the live music of bands at that rock festival. It is pretty hard to pin down just what many people were doing twenty five years ago. At that time the world was in termoil, as fighting was at its peak in Vietnam. The war many thought we had no right to be envolved in. A big demonstration at Kent State College where college students were killed, demonstrations at the Capitol in D.C., with signs saying, "Hell No, We Won't Go." and the burning of draft cards. Some of the worst battles were being fought in the jungles of Vietnam, battles as Hamburger Hill, Bien Hoa, Quang Tri, Khe Sanh, Pleiku to name a few. Even though all these things were happening WoodStock went on to become a very famous rock concert, where everything was sort of free and at will of how people beheaved and carried oa The weather was not cooperative as it rained and soaked the festivel attendees. Here in Oregon there was the Mciver State Park Rock Festival , that appeared to be a mini Wookstock to me. And today twenty five years later the silver anniversary of Woodstock was held in the State of New York, where hundreds of thousands were on hand for the affair. Again the rains came to soak the fans as they were ankle deep in mud during the festivel. Just at this Rock Concert there were no demonstration of any wars or the burning of draft cards. Well looking back to those twenty five years, it has been pretty interesting. Some people call them the, "Good Old Day's." AHH-NAH-CHI-TOON! ! ! Toe There was this guy who took some peoples advice, they said Arizona was the place for his sinus. So he went to Phoenix, finally got it after ten years. YIKES SS There was this large family that was finally able to move into a more spacious home. An Uncle asked his Nephew. "How do you like your new house?" "just fine," replied the lad. "My brother and I have our own rooms, and so do my sisters. But poor Mom, she's still stuck in the same room with Dad." YIKES SS SS The wife said to her husband at a buffet dinner. "That's the third time you've gone back for more chickea Doesn't that embarrass you?" "No, dear," He said, "I keep telling them I'm getting it for you." YIKES SS SS A Successful man, is one who makes more money than his wife can spend. A Successful Woman is a woman who finds such a man. YIKES SS SS This Not-So-Bright guy watered only half of his lawn, because the Weatherman said there was a 50 perenct chance of rain. The Native Americans documentary debuts on TBS Superstation, Before the first Europeans sailed west across the Atlantic, every corner of North America was alive with indigenous peoples. For more than 1,000 generations, 500 tribes of Native Americans, each with a unique language and culture, existed in what is now the United States. Now, for the first time, the stories of these diverse nations-from their origins through the devastation wrought by European contact-are told in their own words and through their own eyes in THE NATIVE AMERICANS, a landmark six-hour, multi-part documentary premiering in October on TBS Superstation. The documentary will premiere October 10, 11, and 13, 1994. I have heard over the years a question and a statement that has come to me time to time. The statement: I don't want to go to church and be told what to do...the question: You're from that church on the campus, what do you do??? Well, to both question and statement, we the Presbyterian Church are a group of tribal members and married into the tribe folks who come together to pool our worship together of God. And to share with each other the truths that God gives to each of us in our prayers and through the bible. As Pastor I do not tell anyone what to do... most folks in Warm Springs will not put up with being told. But being shown, or to share, or to reveal a great truth that is uplifting. That is the way of the Jesus of the Bible. Telling things about life and then to live by the. So, it sounds simple and you are right it is simple.
