The officer will walk around your house and yard. He/she will check to see that things are the way you left them. If something is different, or suspicious, it is reported to the supervisor and investigated. WHEN YOU RETURN: We will cancel the house patrol once you are back home and contact us about it. IMPORTANT: We can’t guarantee that nothing will happen while you’re away. Intruders are less likely to intrude, though, and the officer pays attention to little things before they get big. INTERESTING: Did you know that while our police department provides this service, most other police departments around the state do not? NOTE: See if you don’t have a nicer feeling about being away, knowing that a “ house check” has been filed with your police department. Officer Tom S tites cites vehicles parked in handicapped parking areas and reserved areas. Misuse o f marked parking areas has prom pted action by Warm Springs police.
