Coach Wiles said that “ it was her best game of the season.” Results of the February 10th game are as follows: Madras 14 12 13 13-52 Bend 6 13 11 9-39 Burns was a different story for the girls on February 11. Although the girls were behind by 8 points in the third quarter, they managed to pull themselves together and come away as winners.' Wiles states that a lot of girls went home with bumps and bruises because the game was such a physical game. Kimiko Danzuka was commended for her overall performance in this game. Madras 13 12 10 16-51 Burns 16 12 11 5-44 The girls couldn’t get it to gether when they were up against Wahtonka on February 18. One of the reasons being Wahtonka shot 83 per cent from the free throw line, compared with 50 per cent for Madras. This loss killed any hope for the girls to advance to the State AA tournament.
