My parents have made Warm Springs our home since January 1973 and they are both employed by the Confederated Tribes. I have one grandma, Lolita Greeley who lives in Portland, and two great grandmas, Lu cinda Smith on my fath er’s side and Annie Joe (Quananmy Tuhlahletetsur) of Pendleton, on my mother’s side. • DORIAN R. Dorian is 6 years old and attends Warm Springs Grade School. Dorian haslived here 5 years and considers Warm Springs his permanent home. Dorian’s total Indian blood de gree is 13-32. I RAMONA ROSETTA SMITH The daughter, of Alvis Wes ley Smith, J r. of Warm Springs, and Lorene, May Wilson Smith of Beatty, Oregon will be one of the applicants in the fore-coming Adoption Ref erendum. Her Indian blood de gree is 53-64. Ramona is the grand daughter of Alvis Smith Sr. and Ramona Whiz Smith of Yakima, Washington, (deceas ed) and great-granddaughter of Annie Jackson Smith, also of Warm Springs. Alvis Smith, Jr. has been employed at the new admini stration building now under construction, under contract by R.A. Chambers, and for the past years has been employed by the Confederated Tribes. Ramona has. lived in Warm Springs for 3% years and quali fies for adoption. Ramona has members of her immediate family enrolled and in the near future, her education possibili ties would have greater as sistance if she wefe adopted. Ramona possesses within her a need for an identity and a culture that she can retain... a place of an identity to be an enrolled member, for she knows no other home than Warm Springs. ■ HENRY DEMUS MARTINEZ 7-16 Degree Indian Blood. Their grandparents are Kenry Kalam a, Sr. and* Rosei Kuckup Kalama. Henry has lived h e r e . in Warm Springs since 1964. He attended school in Madras up to the eleventh grade and then went , into the service. He is married to Trudie Smith. and they have one son enrolled, Demus Darwin Martinez. LAWRENCE BARRET MACY BRIGITTE DEE MACY Date of birth - Oct. 29, 1967 Age 9 years Lawrence attends Warm Springs grade school and is-the son of Richard and Vivian Macy. His Indian blood degree is 1-8. He has lived with his folks for V/z years in the Tenino Valley. His grandparents are Dan and P riscilla Macy, and his great-grandmother is Jeanette Brunoe. Boni February 9, 1966 at Brewster, Washington. She is 10 years old. She has lived with her parents in Warm Springs since 1968. She is the ddugher of Robert W. Macy, Sr. Presently undergoing court appeal procedures to be re turned to Warm Springs to live with her father. The grand parents are Mr. and Mrs. Dan Macy of Warm Springs. Her Indian Blood Degree is 1-8. 1 CARL B. MARTINEZ 7-16 Degree Indian Blood. His history is the same as Henry’s. He has lived in Warm Springs with Henry and his family since November of 1973. He worked at the mill for one year, and is now working as a laborer for a construction crew. ÄS WILLIE SITTING-HORSE KIRK Willie Sitting-Horse Kirk and Natalie Giniene Kirk are the son and daughter of Redine and Larry Calica. They have Indian Heritage of Wasco- Warm Springs, Rogue-Cree from Montana and Creek- Seminole from Oklahoma. Their Indian blood degree is 7-32. - 8 NATALIE GINIENE KIRK Their great grandparents in clude Lucinda Smith, Ellen Squiemphen and Matilda Mit chell. Natalie was born in Port land, April 16, 1972 and is presently attending Headstart. Willie was born in Koemah, Oklahoma, May 12, 1971 and is presently attending Kindergar The grandparents of Willie ten. They have lived here since and Natalie are Lolita Greeley 1972 and plan to continue living and Pete Sitting-Horse Hawley. at their home in Simnasho. LAURA (MISSY) STILL Date of birth: July 17, ’66 Age 10 years Indian blood degree - 7-32 She attends Warm Springs Grade School and is in the fifth grade. She has lived in Warm Springs all of-her life,'an d lives in the West Hills area. “Missy”, as she is known to her friends, likes to do bead- work, Indian dancing, modern dancing, sports, and the skate board. WS !ä» J ib KEVIN ANTHONY BLUEBACK 101-128 Degree Indian Blood. He has lived with Harold Culpus almost all of his life. His mother is Joann Jim Casey. His grandmother is Ina Culpus Tohet, and his great grandmother is Ida Thompson. Kevin has participated in baseball, football and many other activities. He is work ing at Kah-Nee-Ta as an ap prentice chef. He is married to Reahlda Ross and they have one child enrolled. LONNY DEAN MACY Born August 31, 1964 at Grand Coulee, Washington. He is 12 years old. He has lived with his parents in Warm Springs since 1968. He is the son of Robert W. Macy, Sr., and resides with his father at Warm Springs. His grand parents are Mr. and Mrs. Dan Macy of Warm Springs. His Indian Blood degree is 1-8. ROY JACKSON 7-16 Degree Indian Blood. Mother is Verna Johnson Jack- son. He has been living on the Reservation almost all of his life. His grandmother was Isa bel Van Pelt Palmer. He is m arried to Hazel Heath and they have two children enrol led. He is presently working at the mill. DEBORAH LYNN STILL Date of birth: Dec. 20, ‘69 Age 7 years Indian blood degree - 7-32 Deborah attends Warm Springs Grade School where she is currently a first grader. She has lived in Warm Springs all her life, in the West Hills area where her parents home is built. Debbie likes dolls, Indian Dance, and sports. Debbie’s grandmother is Henrietta Johnson who resides in the Seekseequa area of the Warm Springs Reservation. Her great-grandmother is Rose Kuckup Kalama who is de ceased and is in the line of the great Chief Albert Kuckup. Her great-grandfather is Henry Ka lama, Sr., who is still living up in the Shitike Creek area. Her grandfather is living in Salinas, California and is a Yacqui Indian from Mexico. Her parents are Vickie Still, who is Juvenile Officer- at WSPD, and het dad is Chris Still who is a patrolman with the Warm Springs Police De partment. ROBERT WAYNE MACY, JR. Born September 16, 1961 at Prineville, Oregon, He is 15 years old, and has lived with his parents in Warm Springs since 1968. He is the son of Robert W. Macy, Sr., and re sides with his father at Warm Springs. His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Dan Macy of Warm Springs. His Indian Blood Degree is 1-8. DANIEL MARTINEZ Born May 27, 1953. Age 23. Indian blood degree - 7-16. I have lived in Warm Springs for 7% years. I’m married to Urbana Ross Mar tinez and have two sons whose names are Joel and Jacques Martinez. I work at the Veneer Plant as a green chain lead man on swing shift. I’ve served in the service in the Marine Corp, for four years, at which time my home was here in Warm Springs. So off and on I’ve worked at the Veneer Plant for almost 4 years. I also serve my com munity as a« member of the volunteer fire department. My future plans are to return to college to take up Diesel Me chanics here in Central Oregon. My mother is Henrietta K. Johnson who was married to the late Raymond “ Tape” Johnson who .w as a Paiute Chief here at Warm Springs. My relatives are too many to count here in -Warm Springs. However, my grandfather is Henry Kalama, pnd grand mother is Rose Kuckup Ka lama who passed away in 1976. My Aunt and Uncle are Woody Smith, and Iris Smith and many more throughout Warm Springs. My great- great-uncle is Charley Jackson. Through the 7% years I ’ve lived here in Warm Springs, my love for my home here has grown through the people here and the reservation. I now live in tribal housing R-14 which is located across from Macy’s store. I plan to live here the rest of my life because to me, Warm Springs is thé best place in the world for me and my family. «
