Hollywood Writer HOLLYWOOD (UP)- Big busted blondes may delight some movie and TV fans, but as far as . designer Orry Kelly is con cerned they either should dis guise those, charms or stay out ol sight. Slender females should pin a medal on Mr, Kelly, for he thinks a small or medium-sized bust looks better. in clothes than those 39-inch wonders that are in the entertainment world these days. "These blondes that have four inches of shelf! tsk-tsked the de signer, "I saw one on the Jack Behny Show recently who looked deformed. "Let's face it people are in fluenced by fashions they see on the screen. Someone like Grace Kelly is a great addition good taste that helps people all over the world. But it's too bad there's certain amount of bad taste.' he added. Returns to Movies The colorful and controversial designer has stayed away from movie fashions for five years to concentrate on his paintini ca reer, but MGM brought him back to do the costumes for "Les Girls." Two of the stars he's dressing Taima Elg and Kay renaan nave average figures. Busty Mitzi G a v n o r doesn't out, "She wears just skirts and blouses in this picture so no prob lem is involved." But just mention the names of Diana Dors. Jaync Mansfield and Jane Russell to Orry Kelly and lie looKs saa. Hie way oilier studios dress those girls busts bulging at you, skirts pulled ti;ht, waist cinched in, he sighed. Since girls can't change what nature gave them, I InquiiTd what Kelly thought the sweater girls should do about their "shelves." His pink cheeks quivered with indignation. Slay In Alter Dark They shouldn't go out after dark," he snapped. "When women with big derrieres ask me what they should wear to the beach, 1 tell them to stay home from the beach. 'When those busy women come to me for" clothes I tell them to come back next year, l won't de sign for them." He finally did give In. however. with a suggestion as to how those Monroe-type blondes can garb themselves: "Their clothes should be loose and not skin tight," Kelly said." And, of course, it's not just the bosom that's the trouble but the head that goes with it. If they would get rid of halt of that plati num hair and be well coiffed and then dress intelligently they would look much better." 2:15 p.m. 2:30 p.m. 3:00 p.m. 4:00 p.m. 4:30 p.m. 5:30 p.m. 6:00 p.m. 4:30 p.m.' KOIN Set It Now KLOR Christian Science 4:45 p m.
