He likes to go with his family in the car for rambles through the less populated areas of the west coast taking a camp ing outfit along so they will not be dependant upon hotels or mo tels when night comes. Born in Iowa, Rev. Jamieson left that midwest state while still so young he has no memories of it. His parents homesteaded in the Madras country and later went to northern California. It was at Redding, Calif., that the Salem pastor completed his high school work and then he was in Oregon again. He attended Portland Bible Institute which lat er became Cascade Colleqe. After three years there he earned his diploma and while there he served the Canby church. Transferred to Florence in 1941 he was there for a short time be fore being stationad at the Mil waukie church. Being back near Portland he was able to continue work at Cascade college and re ceived his bachelor of theology there. Later he received his mas ters degree from Puget Sound. The war years were spent by the Jamiesons at a church in Tacoma which brought them in the near vicinity of the army camps and installations. Philip Jamieson. the son and only child of the Salem pastor and his wife, is a freshman this year at Seattle Pacific college.
