Seldom have we run into more perfect weather for the oceanside, and what a beautiful time to be along the coast the rhododendrons being out, some hillsides ablaze with the bright yellow Scotch broom (albeit it is such a pesti the wild violets, buttercups and other little flowers typical of the coast area coloring the ground We are lazy vacationers in that this individual forgets cooking along with the job when away, so the jaunt was not too good for the diet, what with alternating in en joying the cuisine at the Dorches ter House and the interesting spe cialties at Pixie Kitchen . . . It's nice to be In that area during the midweek, too, the beacnes not being so crowded especially nice with the wonderful weather that orevailed this time ... We found out some interesting sidelights about would-be voters, too Late Thursday we noted many more people coming election day, Friday, being a holiday for quite a group and meaning tne vacation ers would have until Monday for the':- holiday and that meant they did not vote, because, from conver- ti be out to vote, as thev admitted they would not be back in Port-: land until Monday . . . There are? many ways to enjoy vacations, and the saying goes, it takes all kinds ...Our one regret in leavig lale Friday afternoon in order to get home in time to vote was not being able to hear the quartet's shouting: and condemnation on the outcome of the election ...
