' 1 ' ; 1 - - New Pie Crust Mix Out in Perfected Stick Form Now "WWW' 1 It9s'4 Meal -on -a -Blatter . This idea is called "A Meal on 5 Platter." It is really a meal in jitselt a noodle-mushroom ring with a center filling of creamed salmon and peas. It rates, too, for ;being in the economical category, instantj nonfat dry milk being 'tised; ... ' Koodle-Mushroom Ring (Makes 6 servings' l'i cups liquefied instant nonfat dry milk 3 tablespoons flour . ' I 1 teaspoon salt 14 teaspoon pepper 2 eggs, slightly beaten X 3-oz.) can mushrooms, finely chopped 1 8-oz.l package medium-size noodles, cooked and drained Pour instant nonfat dry milk in to top of double boiler. Sprinkle flour, salt and pepper over surface. Beat with rotary beater just until blended. Cook over hot water, stir ring constantly, until slightly thickened. Pour a little of the hot mixture into the slightly beaten eggs, stir briskly. Add to remain ing sauce in double boiler: cook alirring constantly, until thicken td. Add mushrooms. Bake In moderate oven (330 degrees F.) for 3 te 40 minutes or until set. Vnmqld. Serve with Creamed Salmon and Peas. Creamed Salmon and Peal (Makes 4 cups) l'i cups liquefied instant nonfat dry milk 3 tablespoons flour 1 teaspoon salt teaspoon pepper 1 cup (714-oz.) can salmon, drained, boned and flaked l'i cups peas, cooked Pour liquefied instant nonfat dry milk into top of double boiler. Sprinkle flour, salt and pepper over surface. Beat with rotary beater until just blended. Cook over hot water .stirring constant ly, until slightly thickened. Stir in salmon and peas; cook until thoroughly heated. Serve hot in Noodle-Mushroom Ring. FRUIT COMBINATION For a last minute dessert with a dressed-up flavor serve canned peach slices mixed with frozen raspberries. Looks extra pretty when you serve it in stemmed sherbet glasses. Chill until firm, about 2 hours. Top with additional whip- pea cream, it desired. Quick-Frozen Turkey Pie For Quick Meal Among the newest frozen dishes out is the Turkey Pie in individual pies. "Strawberry Topping. Mix V4 cup sugar and 4 teaspoons corn starch in heavy saucepan. Add Vi cup water gradually, stirring until smooth. Cook over low heat, stir ring constantly until mixture thick ens and becomes clear. Cool slight ly. Add 114 cups halved strawber ries: mix gently but well. Spread strawebrry mixture over top of cooled pie. Ahhhhh! Beat until smooth. Remove date nut roll from can. Place in top of double boiler to heat, about 25 minutes while you.: eat Slice into fourths and serve hot with orange cheese sauce. Makes 4 servings.
