She is now employed as secretary to the stale comp troller at the industrial accident commission. Her fiance is a graduate of Salem high school, and was discharged in January after 2A yejs' service in the South Pa cific with the navy. Burford-Ware Rites Are Read Sunaay, March 17, the Baptist church in Albany was scene of the marriage of Terratha Bur forri ana Cecil A. Ware. The high noon ceremonies were pefomed by Rev. Luther. For her wedding the bride chose a pastel blue suit with which she wore matching accessories and a corsage of gardenias and pink carnations. , A wedduig dinner honoring the couple was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Ware, parents of the bridegroom, with members of the immediate fam ily present. After a short wed ding trip, the couple will re turn to Albany to make their home. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Simon have just returned to Salem after a two months' vacation trip in California and Mexico. Wednesday evening, Mrs. James McFarland entertained members of her group with a dessert supper at her home in North 19th street. Entertaining also will be Mrs. Lee Crawford and Mrs. Joseph M. Devers, Jr., who will preside at a late supper af ter several hours of contract bridge for her guests. Mrs. Howard Shubert will entertain members of her bridge club Friday evening. The hos tess will serve a dessert, to be followed by contract bridge. Special guest for the evening will be Mrs. H. P. Hielman of Portland, visitor at the Shubert home for the weekend. Lincoln Club Admits Members Lincoln The Lincoln Ladies Goodwill club, organized in 1937 for the purpose of welcom ing newcomers, enrolled two new members, Mrs. Avalt Mil ler and Mrs. Seth Dodge, when the club held the March meeting at the home of Mrs. R. J. Meis sner. Mrs. H. W. Ashford and Mrs. Lois Crawford were co hostesses. Bouquet of japonica, jon quils, spirea and wild currant arranged in tall vases and low bowls of vari-tinted primroses, violets, and hyacinths were used about the rooms and on serving tables. The St. Patrick theme was used throughout the affair. Mrs. Nels Yenckel, president was In charge of the meeting.
