Miss Audrey Chittim Is Bride l Unionvale In a setting of red ana white flowers February 17 at 3 o'clock in the Unionvale Evangelical church, Miss Aud rey Nadine Chittim, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold M. Chit tim, of Unionvale, became the bride of Adolf W. Koenig. ion of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Koenig of Salem. . Rev. Robert D. Bennett of ficiated at the double ring cere mony before a large gathering of relatives and friends. 1 The bride, who was given in mcrriage by her father, wore a dress of white satin made prin cess style with full train and a fingertip veil of illusion, held in place by a head-dress of or ange blossoms. Her bouquet was heart shaped, of white narciss us, red and white carnations centered with white gardenias. Miss Loyce Nevil of Kelso, Wash., was maid of honor for her cousin. Miss Betty Phelps of Salem was bridesmaid. The two wore matching dresses of white trimmed In red velvet. Their bouquets were minatures of the bride's. Little Sherry Morris, was flower gir. Virgil Koenig of Sheridan was best man for his brother. Dwight Ellenwood of Amity was groomsman. Ushers were Nor man Bubser.and Jimmy Rich ardson. Little Larry and Gary, twin sons of Mr. and Mrs. Wil bur Stoutenburg, were ring bearers. Mrs. Ray Hochstien of New berg and Miss Delores Stouten burc lighted the tapers. Mrs. Scotty Edmindson of Mc Minnville, accompanied by Miss Myrtle Rockhlll of Grand Is lam! sang. Miss Rockhlll played the wedding marches. A reception was held In the aocial room of the church. Miss Evelyn Macy and Miss Alice Schaffer of McMinnville assisted In the reception room and served at the punch bowl. Mrs. Dale L. Fowler and Mrs. Merle Church cut the wedding cake topped with red and white roses and miniature bride and groom. . The bride's going away suit was gold color wool crepe with black accessories and an orchid corsage. After a brief wedding trip at the coast they will tie at home near Unionvale. Civic Club Hears Demonstrator Amity The Woman's Civic Improvement club held their Feoruary meeting Tuesday aft' ernoon in the community hall of the M. E. church. Mrs. Elwin Morse, Mrs. Charles Funk, Mrs. Isaac Bantsari and Mrs. Clara Broadwell. After the business session Mrs. B-mtsari. president, Introduced the speaker of the afternoon, Miss Frances Clinton, assistant state home demonstration lead ed of O.S.C. in Corvallis. The subiect of her talk, "Family Re lations" was enjoyed by the 35 members and visitors. A social hour followed and the hostesses served refreshments. Family Fetes Anniversary. Wood burn Mr. and Mrs. Wayne B. Gill entertained at a family dinner Sunday at their home in Hayes street, honoring the birthday anniversary of Mrs. Gill's mother, Mrs. Kath erine Olson. All of Mrs. Olson's children were present with the excep tion of Harold Olson, Delano, Calif. Covers were placed for the honored guest and Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Olson and daughters, Corinne and Katherine. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Maulding and daughter Jean, all of Oregon City; Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Owen and baby Jackie of Oak Grove Mrs. Nettie Gregory and L. E. Olson of Monitor; Mr. and Mrs. Oscar D. Gill and Wayne Cill, Jr. Woman's Club Sponsors Dinner The Salem Heights Woman's club will give a George Wash ington dinner at the community hall in Liberty road and Ma- drona avenue Friday evening at 8:30 o'clock. Funds from the dinner will provide materials for the com munity club. The public is in vited. Chairman of the event is Mrs. C. C. Forbis, and assist ing her are Mrs. L. L. Bennett, Mrs. Kenneth Zwicker and Mrs. F. L. Bradshaw. Assisting in the dining room are Mrs. Paul Griebenow, Mrs. E. J. Huffman, Mrs. John Douglas and Mrs. Charles Hagemann. Greeting the guests at the door will be Mrs. Fred Browing and Mrs. R. L. Crittenden. Following the dinner hour, cards will be in play. Easterner to Wed Miss Eastman Dallas The engagement of Miss Mildren Ellen Eastman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. J Eastman, to Major Willard O. Stradley. son of Mr. and Mrs. Orville Stradley of Fort Scott, Kansas, was revealed Monday evening when Mrs. Eastman en tertained informally at her home In her daughter's honor. The wedding has been set for March 17. Miss Easlman, a graduate of Dallas high school, attended Oregon Slate college, where she was affiliated with Sigma Kap pa sorority. Following her graduation in 1943, she served for two years as a stewardess in the United Air Lines service. Major Stradley, who was a member of the 104th Timber wolf division stationed at Camp Adair, is now on terminal leave after serving one and a half years overseas with the Ameri can First army. Miss Joslin Is Honored Falls City A bridal shower was given Friday evening hon oring Miss Ruth Joslin, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jos lin, whose marriage to Doyle Lorimor, son of Mrs. Bessie Lorimor of Dallas, will be an event this week. Hostesses for the shower were Mrs. Orphie Gilbert, Mrs. Peggy Pierce, Mrs. Faye Wilson and Mildred Wray.
