ington dinner at the community
hall in Liberty road and Ma-
drona avenue Friday evening
at 8:30 o'clock.
Funds from the dinner will
provide materials for the com
munity club. The public is in

Easterner to Wed
Miss Eastman
Dallas The engagement of
Miss Mildren Ellen Eastman,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. J
Eastman, to Major Willard O.
Stradley. son of Mr. and Mrs.
Orville Stradley of Fort Scott,
Kansas, was revealed Monday
evening when Mrs. Eastman en
tertained informally at her
home In her daughter's honor.
The wedding has been set for
March 17.
Miss Easlman, a graduate of
Dallas high school, attended
Oregon Slate college, where she
was affiliated with Sigma Kap
pa sorority. Following her
graduation in 1943, she served
for two years as a stewardess
in the United Air Lines service.
Major Stradley, who was a
member of the 104th Timber
wolf division stationed at Camp
Adair, is now on terminal leave
after serving one and a half
years overseas with the Ameri
can First army.
