Thomas MacDonald, general secretary of the European Chrla tlan mission, a man who knows Eu rope, will preach Sunday morning at the First Baptist church, Marlon and Liberty streets. Rev. MacDonald has traveled widely for the work of the mission, not only In North America, but also In Great Britain and on the con tinent of Europe, having visited the fields of England, Germany, Pol and, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Aus tria, Italy and France several times. Rev. MacDonald speaks with au thority backed by his knowledge of personal experience In eastern, central, southern and western Ku roDe. He has pictures taken recently during a time of crises in Europe and wherever these unusual pic tures have been shown they have enlightened and stirred many. The "European Christian Mis sion Inc." originated In 1904, and has for its aim the evangelization of the 400,000,000 white people In the field which extends from Russia to Spain. Rev. Thomas MacDonald Is a preacher, Bible teacher, and mis sionary. Interested and enthusiastic audiences, in crowded churches at times, over the country continually hear his message. Sa' lem's first aid car at work, was also demonstrated for them. Mrs. B. O. Appleby was a house guest at the home of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Richard Walsh at Se attle, during the past week. Mrs. Appleby accompanied Mrs. Walsh when she was returning north aft er attending funeral rites for her brother-in-law, Ernest Moore, who died suddenly at Los Angeles.
