For the first time In several years, the federation Is publishing a com plete list of its member clubs, the names and addresses of their presi dents and secretaries, the time and place of their meetings and the ap proximate size of their membership. A total of 124 organizations la in cluded In the directory, represent ing 63 Oregon cities and towns. Salem clubs included are the Sa lem Woman's club, the Salem Junior woman's club and the Liberty Worn an'c club. In the listing, too, are the names or some of the state's best-known women leaders, who appear either as officers of their own clubs or as officers or chairmen of the state federation. As an additional feature, this first Fall Issue of the federation mafia. sine will contain a list of all its own new officers, its chairmen of departments and divisions and the heads of its special committees. The Oregon Clubwoman will be published bi-monthly this year, ac cording to Mrs. O. C. Sanford of Coqullle, chairman of the federa tlon's magazine committee. The next number will appear in December. Miss Elisabeth Carey will tell the srary oj "itasperies Aaventures" in the children's room at the pub lic library Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. Mrs. Lawrence Imlah Sigma Kappa Hostess Mrs. Lawrence Imlah entertained members of the Sigma Kappa Alum nae club with a delightfully ar ranged affair Thursday evening at her home. Bridge was In play with honors going to Mrs. Reeve Helm. Miss Madeline Sleppy assisted the hostess at the supper hour. Welcomed as new members of the club were Mrs. Helm, Mrs. Warren Tinkler and Miss Edna FlcMin. Mrs. Katherine R. Prevllle of Longvlew, Wash., Is visiting Salem and Turner relatives. Members of the Harmony club honored Mrs. Roy Shaw at her home Wednesday afternoon with a surprise party. The afternoon was spent socially with tea served late in the afternoon. Members present were Mrs. Wil liam McKinney, Mrs. J. c. Simp son, Miss Mary Titterington, Mrs. David Chllles, Mrs. Floyd Beard, Mrs. Martin Byers, Mrs. Tittering ton, Mrs. Milton Steward and Mrs. Roy Shaw. Mrs. Floyd Beard will open her home Saturday evening when the club will entertain husbands at a Halloween party. Mrs. Homer Roblnette opened her home Thursday when members of the Maccabee Woman's club enter tained with a no-host luncheon. Members enjoying the day were Mrs. Virgil Parker, Mrs. Kathryn Stryker, Mrs. E. M. Brooks, Mrs. Lottie Smith, Mrs. Milton Steward. Miss Ann Graber, Mrs. Velma Toy sen, Mrs. George Diets and Mrs. Homer Roblnette. The club will meet in a fortnight at the home of Mrs. Virgil Parker. Miss Mary Ellen Hammond will entertain the Spinsters at her Klngwood Height home Monday evening. ... Miss Marjorie Safford Announces Betrothal Mr. and Mrs. Charles I. Safford announce the engagement of their daughter, Marjorie, and Frank Ste phen Barlow, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. F. 8. Barlow of Portland. No date has been set for the marriage, but It will be an event of early spring. Miss Safford Is well known to members of the younger contingent and attended Salem schools. She Is now connected wltn the .state forestry department, Mr. Barlow attended the Univer sity of Portland, where he was ac tive m athletic circles. He is now connected with the S.P.S. railroad. Etokta Club Feted Tuesday Tuesday afternoon the Etokta club met at the home of Mrs. Stuart Johnson In North Winter street. After an Interesting busi ness meeting, presided over by the president, Mrs. Clifton Ross, the afternoon was devoted to a trav elogue of South America by Mrs. Marie Flint McCall.
