Dancy, valued at $20,000, has been admitted to pro bate with Jessie Crelghton Jones, a sister-in-law, named as executrix. Of the property 1 0.000 Is In realty and $10,000 is personal property. The home at 369 N. Lberty street Is to be sold and the proceeds di vided one-fourth each to two sis-ters-ln-law, Jessie C. Jones and Mabel 8. Crelghton and the other half to a sister, Mrs. Adelaide M. Bberlln. Common stock In the Col umbia River Paper company Is left to Salem General hospital which Is directed to establish a memorial for Mollle C. Dancy. his wife, who pre. deceased him. The hospital also Is made residuary legatee of the es tat. Cash In Ladd and Bush bank Is divided one-half to Mrs. Bberlln and a fourth each to Jessie C. Jones and Mabel 8. Crelghton. Cash in the United States National bank Is divided between Mrs. Jones and Miss Crelghton, the same disposition be. ing made of hay and produce from the Wallowa ranch. Specific bequests also Include the following: 25 shares of Incorporated Investors stock and 10 shares of Columbia River paper stock to Laura Bberlln. a niece; 13 shares of Ameri can Telephone & Telegraph stock to Adelaide Eberlln; 11 shares of the same stock to Mrs. Jones and Miss Crelghton; six shares of Incorpor ated Investors to the YWCA; 86 shares of the same stock to Rosalie Porter, a niece; the automobile and a ring and diamond stick pin to Crelghton Benton Jones, a nephew, and a gold watch and chain to GeorRe Alvin Porter. Appraisers are K. W. Meyers, George H. Grabenhorst and Lester F. Barr. TUNNEL WORK ' BEGUN BY WPA A crew of WPA men. employed by the Salem water commission, yes terday began the digging of the' 500-foot tunnell that is to pierce the hump on Rural avenue approach ing the Pairmount reservoir. It will be a 24-hour three-shift Job, only five men working on each shift on account of cramped space in which to -work. The tunnel will range from 10 to 35 feet underground, and as the work progresses it will be timbered to assure safety for the workers. Thpy will hp equipped with rnrbtrir cess.
