A. here during the week endi'g today, it was report ed this afternoon. One hundred thirteen men asked for work, and 45 men were requested by em ployers. Twenty-one women ask ed for work, and two were re quested. Practically all the ac tivity among the men was among common laborers. The two wo men employed were hotel and res taurant workers. The Mountain States Power com pany, which serves these cities, yesterday began using a special line built for the purpose ot con necting with the PEP company's THE CAPITAL JOURNAL, SALEM, OREGON station, and will continue to draw power from West Salem un til late In February, by which tune the line from Springfield to Albany will be rebuilt.
