Ventura, Cal., Oct. 30. A sharp earthquake shock of several aec onds duration was felt hero at 5:30 o'clock this morning. The Indians second team has a strong aggregation and are in hopes of taking the Portland team into camp. The Indians first team will not play this week as they are resting up for their game with tho Co lumbia university, of Portland, when they meet Novombor 7th, on the Columbia gridiron. The first team has had a strenuous sched ule so far this season with practi cally no vacation and are in need of a rest. Paul Keta and Coqullle Thomp son, two stars are out of the Ind ians first striirg at this time but they are In hopes of being- able to got Into the Columbia fray.
