HUDBARO MfiNIS SUICIDE
Woodburn, Sept. 22 H enry
flatoher committed suicide at Hub
bard Monday morning by cutting
his throat. The body was brought
to Woodburn by Undertaker Hall.
Hatcher had been a resident of
Hubbard for 40 years and waa over
70 years of oge. Despondency Is
upposed to have been the cause.
Several years ago he suffered ft
fracture of a left and since had
been lame. A widow, son and
grandchildren survive.

(AP) Although the United States
government has ruled that the Am
erlcan aviators who enlisted In
France and now are serving under
the colora of Mulal Yuaef, sultan
of Morocco are violating the laws
of the United States, this fact ap
parently has not served to lower
their morale.

towns and groups of rebels.

troops at the front."
Up to yesterday the Americans
had flown eighty hours In five days
during which they sent down nine
tons of bombs upon the rebelB and
fired several thousand rounds of
machine gun ammunition against
them.
The Americans say they feel
Justified In serving under the sul
tan, as they have taken no oath of
allegiance and signed no enlistment
papers. They can leave when they
desire, but say they will remain.
