OREGON E STIFF CONTEST AT The lcaguo-leadlner Salom Sena tora nro to go to Htllsboro tomor row afternoon In the Interstate lea gue serins iv ho re they ore to clash with the olrong team there. The locals lout their first game of the season last week to the Lucken bach ship company, due to the stel lar twirling of Rudy Kallio, ship builder pi ichor. The two strong Camas and West Linn nines are to cross bats at Camas and the Luckenbach nine Is to meet the Albany team at Albany. All of theso games give promise oC being hard fought. The Albany team, which entered the league for their initial appearance last week, has added considerable strength to the entire league. The hardest fought game of the series tomorrow Is the Salem-Hllls-boro struggle The liillsboro team lost to the locals In an earlier meet ins but they are now all hopped up to find that it Is possible to defeat the Senators. They are surely ex pecting to take the Senators into camp if they can. For that rea son "Frisco" Edwards, manager of the locals has urged all ot the rooters that possibly can to attend the game. A win for the HULsboro nine would make the race a tight strug gle. The locals would still be lead lng the league, however, with seven games won and two lost for a per cent ug of .778 whilo the liillsboro nine would be close behind with a ven games won and three lost for a percentage of .700. The game will start at 2:30. Edwards Is planning on starting Barham on the mound for the lo cals. Ha r ham has not been as ef fective In the last few games but has been working hard to get Into chape and promises to send several of his opponents to the bench. Ed wards will be behind the bat.
