The count stands 31 points (or the Juniors, 27 for the seniors and 23 for the sophomores. Contests held in the hik'ti school auditorium consists 1 of impromp tu speaking, sight reading and ora tory. Every class furnished, one contestant In each event, points counting five for fiit plfica, three for second and one for third. Homer Richards, representing the Juniors, took first place In the Impromptu. speak ins contest. Thomas Child, senior, took sec ond and Clark Durham, sophomore traced third. None of the speak ers knew what his subject was to be until he reached ths platform, when he was atluwel to draw a slip upon which was written the tale of the enoh he was requir ed to give. Speeches were three in In ut 03 in length. The title drawn by Homer Richards was 'My Far-c-i.te Magazine." Thomas Cliilds spoke on "The Typo of Assembly Streaker I .Like." and Clark Dur ham gave his speech on 'My Opln Ion of Cross Word Puzzle Enthus iasts. In the sight reading contest par ticipants wire gvn articles to read after they appeared on the platform. The contest was won by Floyd Query, senior.
