Mr. Haynes, who had never fully recovered from a pre vious attack of the disease waa ill but a few days. Funeral arrange ments have not been made. Mr. Haynea Buffered an attack of Influenxa while on a trip through the southern atutes and on the advice of a physician whom be had consulted, he returned borne. Heurt disease, with which be long has been afflicted also contributed to his death. Few friends knew of the serious Illness of the pioneer automobile manufacturer who also gained In ternational reputation as a scient ist and metallurgist and his death last night was a shock to all thai knew him.
