Angel and cotnmiinity v.hicb will he ready for distribution la a week or ten days. It coutains ruts of the col lege, creamery, cannery and the college dairy barn. The land set tlement committee of the Port land chamber will distribute many ct the folders. Throe lumber crtnpanies who are shipping planed lumber from Mt. Aii;;el at the present time are the Wileon. Martin.sc Wilson com pany, the Butte Creek Lumber company, and the Earl Groshong company. All of these companies sre cutting lungs in the foothills directly cast of Mt. Angel. The reorganization of the Mt. Angel ball club was effected re cently under the managership of Kniil P. Scharbach. Peterson ot Silverton is now employed at Portland bridge builder on tbe Burnaitle bridge. A meeting of the Lutheran Brotherhood will be held at Trin ity church on Tuesday evening. At this time definite plans will be made for the brotherhood conven tion which will be held at Silver- ton In tbe early part of May. Big preparationa are being mads tor tale. Tbe convention will last three days one of which days will be a Sunday. The program will be given at the Eugene Field audi torium. The Silverton Truck & Transfer company Is moving its main office from the opera house to the room in the Gem theater building re cently vacated by F. W. Lysons. W. J. Knox of Woodburn has been surveying on the old Allen ranch in South Silverton. O. E. Gelser, local, real estate agent, re cently purchased part of tbe old ranch. O. B. Lund has left for Shelby, Montana, where he will be in charge ot an oil station. Mr. LunJ baa been employed by M. S. Hen drirkson, contractor, since last August. The Lund family will at3 go to Montana, but will re main at Silverton until tbe close of the present school term.
