Jones, stats game commission educational director, was bound over in the federal court here Monday night together with Har old Maloney, Pendleton farmer, on a charge of violation of the liquor laws. The bodies were exhumed on the reservation where they were burled last week. The verdict of the inquest was that the Infant was buried alive and that Its moth er died of natural causes. Both Mormon Joe and Pete Nay are in jail here under guard of the sheriff. Late yesterday Chevez chlded the medicine man with remarks about death of the Indian child ami told him that he, too, soon Would die for the crime. While the Mexican, an alleged bootlegger, sat reading In his cell the infuriated Indian secured a leg from the table and crushed his tormentor's skull with it. Two other prisoners lntorforei but Chevez was dead. According to authorities Mormon Joe and Pete Nay will be taken before the state grand jury at Durnngo on charge of murder and probably be held for action by the federal grand Jury at Durango next Tuesd.tr.
