over in the federal court here
Monday night together with Har
old Maloney, Pendleton farmer, on
a charge of violation of the liquor
laws. Officers who made the ar
rest alleu that a bottle of liquor
was found in Jones pocket.

about death of the Indian child

the infuriated Indian secured a leg
from the table and crushed his
tormentor's skull with it. Two

authorities Mormon Joe and Pete
Nay will be taken before the state
grand jury at Durnngo on charge
of murder and probably be held
for action by the federal grand
