To bring the remainder of the series it will be necessary that each one Is well supported. With "Vincennes." the picture which wilt be shown tomorrow, will be presented also "Oaidies," a David Belasco story wits Mae Marsh in the starring role. Ac cording to those present at the pre-viewing it Is a clean ".ui com edy that will please the most dis criminating. Mr. Harper, whose works are particularly delightful be cause of their wealth ot imagi native beauty, delighted a large group who assembled to hear him. Other pleasurable features of the evening were the brief numbers given by Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Kuwer and the musical program in which Miss Ruth Bedford, pianist, Leon Jennison, baritone, Mrs. Monroe Gilbert and Mrs. J. B. Lau contributed. Honoring' Mr. Harper and Mr. and Mrs. Euwer, a group ot Slod ern Writers were hosts at a charm Ing dinner In the Rose room of the Spa last night. As It was the occasion of Euwer's birthday gift ot a beautiful fountain was bestowed upon him by writers' group. The presentation was made by J. M. Clifford. In addition to the honor guests. Mr. and Mrs. Euwer returned in Portland last night with Mr. Harper. They have been in Salem for nearly a week during the time that Mr. Euwer's art works were on exhibit at tbe Marlon hotel.
