Member must use horse they qualify with and compete only in class they qualify. Pre-qualifying for jumps prior to fair is for safety of horse and member. Members are not required to pre-qualify if they have previously pre-qualified said horse and are jumping same level. However, that horse must have been used at last year’s County Fair. Back-up horse must still be pre-qualified. (Example: If a member jumps the same horse and the same level 2 years in a row, they don’t need to qualify the second year.) Jumping classes may be conducted somewhere other than the Wallowa County Fairgrounds. Hunter Hack Class to be judged on flat work, manners, way of going, style over fences and even hunting pace. Class description: Walk, trot, canter both directions; jump 2 fences not to exceed 2 feet. There must be at least one combination jump and one change of direction. To be judged on performance and man- ners, with preference shown to horses covering the course with free flowing strides and jumping fences without inter- rupting rhythm. (Among horses maintaining this rhythm, preference should be given to those meeting fences square- ly and not at an angle and jumping at the center of each fence). Upon completion of entire class over fences, finalists will be jogged, dismounted, past the judges for soundness, in order of intended placement. Only Blue Ribbon Intermediates & Seniors in Hunt Seat Over Fences classes qualify for State Fair (if participant meets other State Fair requirements). 751 600 160 751 600 161 751 600 164 751 600 162 751 600 163 Hunter Hack Novice Hunter Hunt Seat Equitation Over Fences (Junior) Hunt Seat Equitation Over Fences (Intermediate) Hunt Seat Equitation Over Fences (Senior) Jump pattern will be posted at fair.
