Kathleen Ellyn Family support, attitude carried Lostine mom through breast cancer scare Chieftain Breast cancer survivor Sherry Robb of Lostine enjoys one of her favorite activities, walking, to be followed by another, attending her children’s sporting events. By Kathleen Ellyn I Wallowa County Chieftain n 2001, Sherry Robb of Lostine was diagnosed with breast cancer. She was 41. She was the mother of three biological children and three adopted children. She did not have the breast cancer gene. The only symptom she had was itching. She never felt a lump. But she went to her medical professional about it. Now, she says, she encourages people to get checked when they just “know something is not right.” See ROBB, Page A9 Community helps EHS replace gear destroyed by ¿ re By Kathleen Ellyn O NE G REAT P UMPKIN HOW TO HELP Wallowa County Chieftain Nike kicks in uniforms and shoes $n acciGental ¿ re GeVtroyeG the (nterSriVe +iJh 6chool (+6 foot ball ¿ elG houVe on Oct 8, taNinJ all of the football anG tracN Jear with it 6ince then, GonationV haYe SoureG in anG the football teaP re turneG to the ¿ elG in coPSletely new Jear 7he tracN Jear will be reSlaceG when the inVurance Poney coPeV in %ill +all of -oVeSh taSSeG hiV contactV at 1iNe for uniforPV anG VhoeV, anG the Vchool GiVtrict or GereG SaGV anG helPetV iPPeGi ately, not waitinJ for the inVurance Poney to coPe in ³We haYen¶t Jot any inVurance Poney yet,´ VaiG 6chool 6uSerin A GoFundMe account estab- lished by Lisa Masters has raised more than $2,100.
