At Port land, the undertone was nervous as demand from consumers was lighter and dealers were careful to avoid accumulations. U, S. grade A large eggs sold to rctail- ers at 6263 cents, mediums 57-' 511, and smalls 45 cents a dozen. These prices are 1 to 2 cents higher than a month ago. Com pared with a year ago large and medium eggs showed increases of 4 to 5 cents but smalls were 1 cent lower.
