REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS For Judicial Services Contract in Pendleton Municipal Court The City of Pendleton requests proposals from qualified appli- cants for part-time judicial ser- vices to the City of Pendleton Municipal Court. A qualified candidate must be a member of the Oregon State Bar Asso- ciation, or complete training by the National Judicial College. Judicial experience or attorney with criminal defense and/or public defender experience is preferred. Experience in super- vision of staff is desirable. Duties will include all aspects of judicial service in a non-record justice level court which hears misdemeanor, violation and post sentence proceedings. Duties also include court attendance at two half-day sessions and one full day session per week. Court scheduling is flexible. When re- quired, jury trials are scheduled on Mondays and Wednesdays, which could extend the half-day court sessions. The City expects to enter into a contract with the successful proposer for a one-year period beginning July 1, 2019 and con- tinuing through June 30, 2020. The contract may be extended for an additional three-year pe- riod upon mutual consent.
